Yasmin Le Bon, David Gandy And Luxe SUVs - Grazia

Range Rover gives good party. We learnt this last night in Richmond Park at the launch of its seriously luxe new SUV in the Royal Ballet School grounds, which was, incidentally, the first childhood home of HRH Queen Liz.

In a change from the usual kind of parties that Grazia Daily attends, there was an abundance of broad pinstriped shoulders gathered to catch a glimpse of the new automobile.

As much as we care deeply for automotive advancements, we, however, were more excited by the mountains of oysters, trays of scallops, prawn and crab cocktails, enormous smoked salmon blinis and veritable rivers of champagne on offer (London Fashion Week starts next Friday so we?re calorie loading).

Downstairs, Yasmin Mills hosted a private dinner party for her besties, among who was Daniella Issa, designer of that royal engagement dress. While we told her about the amazing Metabolic Balance diet that we?ve just done, she told us about her spring/summer 2013 collection ? which she?ll send down the runway next weekend: ?It?s inspired by the Garden of Eden, so very lush. But I?ve only seen about a fifth of the collection ? the rest is due to arrive tomorrow, I hope it?s good!?

Also at the dinner was Yasmin Le Bon and her recently shorn new hair ?do. What prompted such a dramatic chop, we wondered? In our experience, it?s break-ups and deaths that cause such drastic changes. ?I got back from Ibiza and was doing a shoot and on an impulsive moment I just decided to get it all cut off,? she said. ?It?s the hardest haircut I've ever had to manage though, so I think I am going to grow it back!?

David Gandy has a big thing for cars, so he was relatively easy to find during the presentation of the new Range Rover: right at the front. After the voice of Siri had introduced the car (really), we caught up with him about his recent nomination for Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

?I?m excited about it,? he said, ?of course, I know Jourdan [Dunn] quite well because we did the Olympics closing ceremony together. That was such an amazing experience, walking out in front of 80,000 people. Where we stopped on our walk was just by where our families were sitting, so we could see them all.? Did he give them a wave? ?No, I just grinned at them; I had the hugest grin on my face the whole time, I couldn?t wipe it off my face.?

Meanwhile, George Lamb filled us in on his experiences at the Burning Man festival. ?It?s a whole alternative paradigm,? he said before going on to tell us stories of indulgence that would make your tea curdle. Safe to say that Grazia Daily is now duly terrified of ?The Burn?.
